The Early Books Collective is a collaborative learning experience. We are working with texts from the Early English Books Online database (EEBO), transcribing the original text and encoding it using TEI. Finished encoded texts will be contributed to the Text Creation Partnership and eventually made accessible to the world. The EEBO Text Creation Partnership has been called one of the most important digital projects of the 20th and 21st Centuries. Be part of this important work, learn to code, brainstorm and trouble shoot with your peers, friends, and colleagues. All are invited, students, faculty, staff, members of the Penn Community. We meet weekly on Wednesdays at 4:00 PM in the Vitale II Lab in Kislak. 6th Floor Van Pelt.
