As Valerie describes:

"The Albert M. Greenfield Intercultural Center works to enhance student's intercultural knowledge, competency, and leadership through courses for credit, signature programs, and workshops. We also consult with many diverse student organizations committed to celebrating the rich diversity that exists at Penn. As an innovative space, the GIC  has seeded many intercultural initiatives that are now institutionalized elsewhere at Penn. Known fondly as the "GIC," the Center is also a “home away from home” for students. They love to hang out in the space, study, or cook a meal in our kitchen. With students milling around our space, we are able to engage with them and learn about what they love about Penn as well as the challenges that students might face. It is also our goal to work with partners to help shift Penn’s culture and enhance our ability as an institution to better support the growing diversity at Penn."
