Want to make a map? In this workshop, participants will learn about terminology for working with maps, GIS (Geographic Information Systems,) and geospatial analysis, as well as factors to consider in choosing mapping/GIS software. It will include hands-on practice to explore concepts such as symbology, layers, vector and raster data, and the relationship between tabular and spatial data. No prior experience necessary.
