Sometimes the nature and rigor of exam questions can be surprising. Comments like "the exam was harder than I expected" and "I didn't know what to do with that question" are commonly heard.

In this session, Dr. Rashmi Kumar, Specialist in STEM Learning at Penn's Weingarten  Learning Resources Center, will demonstrate feasible and adaptable study strategies for exam prep and introduce resources available at the Weingarten Learning Resources Center.

Take Away: Students can understand the 1) nature of sciences coursework and 2) unpack categories of exam questions.

Format:  Students will individually reflect on exam experiences through a guided process. Then, small group activities will help students explore the overall structure of questions in science coursework by using an updated version of Bloom's Taxonomy. Additionally, four apps - Evernote,  Notability, Simple Mind and Coggle IT - that can reinforce study strategies will be introduced. Lastly, Dr. Kumar will share Vet school specific study strategies.
