This interactive workshop gives attendees the opportunity to sample the virtual worlds accessible in Google Cardboard, learn more about the power of digital and virtual games for learning, and take home a Google Cardboard kit of their own (first 25 registrants; must attend to get the kit). Penn GSE Higher Education Doctoral student (and Learning Sciences & Technologies alum) Marcus T. Wright will discuss his recent book, Paradox of the Learning Game: The Promise and Plight of Video Games and Learning, while leading attendees into an exploration of the possibilities of virtual reality, games, and learning.
