Accessible Coding for the Web with Special Guest Austin Seraphin
Event box
If you are working with creating Web pages or creating pages through Web content managers such as LibGuides, this workshop is for you. To present this workshop, Leslie Vallhonrat and Ivan Goldsmith will be joined by accessibility consultant, Austin Seraphin. As someone blind since birth, Austin Seraphin understands the value technology can have on those with disabilities. He started programming at a young age and currently does accessibility consulting, as well as working in Linux and iOS. He recently published his first app in the App Store. Join us for this workshop to hear about his journey, learn some basics, and ask some questions. The Penn Library staff will also demo a new guide to help become ADA compliant.
This is the first of a four workshop accessibility series sponsored by the Libraries' Liaison Services Council and organized and presented by Leslie Vallhonrat, Ivan Goldsmith, Kate Lynch and Alice McGrath.
