During this hour and a half long workshop the attendees will learn about what Metadata is and why it is important. More specifically they will learn about the history of metadata in libraries and how there are a plethora of metadata formats for different types of library materials. This workshop is perfect for Librarians and non-Librarians who want to learn more about metadata and cataloging as it might better help them search and discover items that seem to be difficult to find.
