GOLD welcomes the Penn Libraries own Accessibility and Learning Technology Group facilitated by Joe Schaffner and Alice McGrath. ALT is charged with raising awareness about accessibility with technology. The group has 14 members from multiple offices across campus, including these Penn Libraries staff: Meaghan Moody, Leslie Vallhonrat, Iva Goldsmith, Kate Lynch, Becky Moulder, Chava Spivak-Birndorf, Alice McGrath, and myself. There are also members from Student Disability Services, the Weingarten Learning Resources Center, Wharton Computing, SAS Online Learning, and the Perelman School of Medicine. Some of our projects include assisting with a campus-wide captioning project, helping develop accessibility-compliance guidelines for online courses with the Online Learning Initiative, and creating a video for faculty and staff that demonstrates how to apply Universal Design for Learning principles to Canvas sites.

As always, Diversi-teas are an opportunity to relax, listen, ask questions, share your own ideas all while drinking tea in good company. We provide tea and cookies, come with your interests and ideas. You are welcome to bring your lunch.
