A database management system is a mechanism that allows data to be stored in such a way that it becomes easy to organize, retrieve, manipulate, and secure the data. This workshop will introduce participants to the basics of Relational Database Management Systems (RDBMS) and its spatial extensions - PostGIS and SpatiaLite. Location: Goldstein Electronic Class Room.
