The Last Reaction Hero*

Event box

A magic hot link transports an intrepid searcher into a world of high-speed reaction searching, as they try to unravel complex syntheses through creative initial search strategies and unexpectedly simple but effective methods of refining reaction searches.  The plot centers on reaction searching in SciFinder and Reaxys, but attendees familiar with basic reaction search techniques in any database will find it easy to follow along.  The training investigates techniques of searching for general methodology, catalyzed reactions, and specific reaction conditions, but plan to bring your own questions and scenarios for an added challenge!  After uncovering some interesting reactions in the two large databases, the searcher will return to the online Chemistry Library to explore supporting tools like e-EROS, Fieser, CAMEO, and PubChem for reagent and safety searching.

Starring SciFinder and Reaxys, and introducing EROS, Fieser, CAMEO, and PubChem
