Set in 2026 against a backdrop of information retrieval unrest caused by the rise of the chatbot, a group of intrepid searchers hunts for the most effective method of topic searching.  Their quest takes them through three popular text search databases, SciFinder, Web of Science, and Scopus (with a fly-by over Reaxys), focusing on their content, how (we think) the databases are processing queries, and what they can do to optimize their information retrieval.  Along the way, they will compare "smart search" or chatbot features with traditional search strategies to learn the circumstances under which each is the most effective.  Attendees are encouraged to bring their most annoying topic search to challenge the databases to the max!
