Penn manuscripts CAJS Rar Ms 615-642 were purchased as a lot in December 2022, previously in the private collection of manuscript bibliographer Marvin Colker (d. 2020). They comprise mostly medieval Judaic manuscript fragments, such as leaves and bifolia, and range from Iraq to Iberia to Austria, and range in subject from liturgy, Bible, and rabbinic texts. This talk will demonstrate some of the important and unusual aspects of these manuscripts, as well as extant comparable manuscript copies, and show paleographical and bibliographic details from cataloging them.
