Sean Quimby, Associate Vice Provost and Director of the Kislak Center, will interview Penn alumnus, photographer and cinematographer Phil Parmet about his experience documenting life in Haiti after the fall of Claude “Baby Doc” Duvalier in 1986. What brought him there during that turbulent time? What did he learn while he was there? What contemporary lessons can we draw about the capacity of photography and photojournalism to raise awareness and affect social change?
