Penn Libraries Research Data and Digital Scholarship (RDDS) will host an online workshop led by qualitative data experts from The Qualitative Data Repository (QDR). This workshop will focus on how to share sensitive data in a responsible, respectful, and safe manner - starting at the inception of the projects and going all the way to depositing in a repository.
Data sharing is a balancing act between meeting funder and journal requirements, ensuring reproducibility and adherence to FAIR best practices, complying with IRB restrictions, and fulfilling our responsibility to our participants. QDR and RDDS are here to assist you in understanding the current state of sharing sensitive qualitative data and to provide the infrastructure and tools to be successful in doing so.
Penn Libraries is a proud member of The Qualitative Data Repository, meaning that our researchers have their deposit and curation fees waived. They also offer a variety of informative materials, such as guidance on writing an informed consent document with data sharing in mind, and they would be happy to consult with you to answer any questions you may have.
