Make nostalgic art with handmade spirographs! Each individual will use data about themselves, such as a star chart, hobbies, or music tastes, and translate the data into parts of a spirograph. This workshop intentionally uses small datasets and artistic creation to demonstrate the bare essentials of what data is: relationships between points of information that when connected together tell a story.    

Whether you are a data lover, or overwhelmed by the idea of a spreadsheet, this workshop is for you! 

Learning Outcomes: 

• Demonstrate the relationship between data and patterns 
• Create a unique spirograph design by translating data points into variables for the spirograph
• Consider the various forms of data visualization that exist, such as more abstract spirograph work
