Learn to prepare fibers for hand spinning into yarn on a drop spindle. The workshop will overview carding fleece by hand and using a drum carder. The group will blend different colors of fleece to make a unique bat to divide up and spin. Participation in this workshop includes a 3D printed Turkish drop spindle and fiber to spin. Attendees are invited to weave using their handspun yarn in our next workshop "Weaving Yarn on a Frame Loom". Attendance to both workshops is not required, but highly encouraged.
