Penn Libraries Presents is happy to welcome Chris Lippa, Library Specialist in the Schoenberg Center for Electronic Text and Image, will share his work on "Collection Dimensions and the Transformation of Knowledge." Chris will be talking about how our collections take different physical shapes, and the how that is translated into digital space. When we want to share knowledge, we write it on a piece of flat paper, but are trying to express a dimensional experience or idea. How much longer are we going to be copying flat paper that's been recopied for hundreds of years, into a digital format that is then seen on a flat screen? Creators of work aren't constrained to a 2 dimensional page anymore, and we need to be ready to accept and share that work regardless of our opinion on it.

We will be holding this event in person in Class of '55, Room 241, 2nd floor Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center and also by Zoom.

We look forward to seeing you there!
