SUMMARY:Bookbinding: Laced Paper Case
DESCRIPTION:In this 3 hour workshop\, you will learn to bind a book by
hand\; how to sew the text block using a long stitch on supports\, how to
fold the paper case\, and how to lace the text into its cover. This is
inspired by a binding learned from Celine Lombardi. This binding is
characterized by the woven details on the covers — the supports used for
sewing the text block are also used to lace on and secure the folded paper
cover. Use it as a notebook or sketchbook\, a gift\, or a model for
additional handmade books. All supplies provided freely. No prior
bookbinding experience necessary\; all types welcome!
