This workshop will teach how to use the open source software OpenRefine to clean data. Attendee’s do not need to be familiar with OpenRefine, as this is an introduction to the software. This workshop is perfect for individuals who want to figure out how to improve their data cleaning process.   

At the end of the workshop, learners will be able to describe OpenRefines uses and applications, import and explore data, and use transformations such as clustering, splitting, and combining to clean data. Attendee’s will be sent information on the demonstration dataset ahead of the session.
