This workshop will teach advanced tasks that can be done in OpenRefine. Attendee’s should be familiar with Open Refine, as we will cover content that was not discussed in the introduction OpenRefine workshop. This workshop is perfect for individuals who want to dig deeper into the offerings of OpenRefine to solve data cleaning issues.   

At the end of the workshop, learners will be able to create custom facets to make detailed groupings of data, write their own transformations to change data into clean formats, and perform a basic API call to pull data into OpenRefine from a website. Attendee’s will be sent information on the demonstration dataset ahead of the session.
