Learn how to change the color of paper using natural dyes. Explore a rainbow of animal and plant-based dye colors by painting or dip dying folded paper. Play with logwood purple, a popular hardwood dye source in the 17th and 18th centuries, and observe how pH can shift the dye color to red, brown, and gray. Participants are invited to explore different techniques of dye application on a variety of papers.

Look for us set up in the outdoor space between the Weitzman building and the Furness/Fisher Fine Arts Library.

Free and open to all Penn card holders.
