Come and bind your own book at Common Press! In this 3 hour workshop, you will learn the Button Hole Stitch Binding, a variation of sewings used in Medieval Limp Bindings. It's a non-adhesive binding with a paper cover, exposed sewing, and opening along the spine. This method binds the signatures and cover together simultaneously with one length of thread. Instructor Erica Honson is the studio coordinator for the Common Press.

Use it as a notebook or sketchbook, a gift, or a model for additional handmade books.

All supplies provided freely.

No prior bookbinding experience necessary; all types welcome!
