Come and bind your own book at Common Press! In this 3 hour workshop, you will learn the stab-stitch binding, called Yotsume Toji in Japan. This binding method from the 15th century has a decorative paper cover and an elaborate sewing pattern along the spine. Use it as a notebook or sketchbook, a gift, or a model for additional handmade books.
All supplies provided freely.
No prior bookbinding experience necessary; all types welcome!
