Have you heard about the FAIR Data Principles and wondered what they are? Do you keep seeing the term in grants, publications, and presentations? Find out about the FAIR Data Principles and why these guiding practices are crucial to making research openly accessible. To assist you in adopting FAIRer practices, we will introduce you to ScholarlyCommons, the institutional repository for the University of Pennsylvania. This repository was built to support open access sharing of research outputs from the Penn community.

This session is hybrid, but we encourage you to attend it in person! The first half of the event is a presentation on the FAIR Data Principles and ScholarlyCommons. The latter half will be an opportunity for in-person attendees to utilize hands-on support to create their own Researcher Profile in ScholarlyCommons.

This event is part of the Penn Libraries International OA Week 2024 celebration.

Registration is required. There are 22 in-person seats available. There are 27 online seats available.
