The Penn Libraries will be hosting a hybrid panel discussion on the future of research under the Nelson Memo. Released in August 2022, this policy will require federal agencies with research funding to make all research materials publicly available without an embargo or cost. Panel experts will share how their communities are preparing for implementation and share their experiences with public access policies. There will be time for Q&A, so bring questions!

  • Panelists include:

    • Perry Collins, Senior Program Officer in the Office of Digital Humanities, National Endowment for the Humanities

    • Manuel de la Cruz Gutierrez, Head of Holman Biotech Commons at Penn Libraries, University of Pennsylvania

    • Lauren Phegley, Research Data Engineer at Penn Libraries, University of Pennsylvania

This event is part of the Penn Libraries International OA Week 2024 celebration.

Registration is required. There are 23 in-person seats available. There are 21 online seats available.
