This presentation shares the work of CUL's Center for Human Rights Documentation & Research. Center Director Pamela Graham will overview how they have collaborated with human rights organizations and activists to provide access to a record of their work. In addition to enabling research and teaching on a range of human rights issues and events, this work also strives to capture the important history of the global human rights movement that emerged in the second half of the 20th century. Inherent in this work is a range of ethical, curatorial and practical challenges, which will also be discussed and reflected upon in discussion.
