Join us for an interactive workshop to explore alternative publishing futures. Despite the vast number of academic works published each year across various business models, much academic research remains out of reach for relevant audiences. In this session, we will discuss potential solutions to bridge this gap.

Attendees will work in small groups to explore entirely new incentive structures, business models and funding approaches for publishing. This hands-on, collaborative session will connect you with other people at Penn who care about scholarly publishing and wish to imagine what alternative futures might entail.

While this session will build on discussions from a Publishing Reimagined workshop in fall 2024, everyone is welcome to attend and contribute their perspectives.
