Digital fabrication technologies like 3D printing and computer-aided design (CAD) are transforming accessibility by enabling the creation of highly customized, affordable tools and prosthetics for people with disabilities. These innovations support rapid prototyping, lower production costs, and more personalized solutions—enhancing the comfort, functionality, and quality of life for people with disabilities.
Christine and Tex from the Education Commons and Lexi from the Bollinger Digital Fabrication Lab will share examples of assistive tools created through digital fabrication and discuss the processes used in their design.
We also invite members of the medical community to join the conversation and share their experiences using digital fabrication!
