Join us for a hands-on introduction to the art of metalworking. In this beginner-friendly workshop, you’ll learn essential safety practices and master the basics of using a rolling mill with design patterns, along with a ring former, to craft your own coiled ring in silver and copper.

This workshop is part of our Re/Make History exhibit in partnership with the Penn Museum Library. Participants will have the option to showcase their finished rings in the Spring 2026 exhibition. It’s a unique opportunity to connect with the museum’s collections through creative, tactile exploration—bringing history to life, one handmade piece at a time.
