SUMMARY:Open Studio Session: Ink and Flax in the Revolutionary era
DESCRIPTION:Uncovered Narratives Broadside #8: Ink and Flax in the
Revolutionary era\n\nJoin us for a drop-in Open Studio at Common Press to
experience letterpress printing for yourself! You’ll be printing a
broadside (a single-sided print meant for public display) exploring a key
ingredient used to produce ink\, fabric\, and paper during the
Revolutionary era: flax! To learn more about this topic\, visit our Makers
Blog.\n\nThe printing activity takes less than 10 minutes\, so feel free to
drop by anytime—stay for a few minutes or as long as you like! This event
is free and open to the public\, but you will need either a PennCard or a
photo ID to enter the building. If you don't have a PennCard\, you will
need to bring a photo ID and sign in at the security desk at the entrance
to Fisher Fine Arts Library for access. See University access guidelines
here.\n\nThis Open Studio is part of Common Press’s The Typography of
Independence program. Check here for the full calendar of events.
