Donate cotton and linen fabric to be processed and made into sheets of paper. This community-wide rag collection mimics the papermaking process in 1770s when rag collectors circulated the city to collect the base material for making paper pulp.

Bring your donations our table at Philly Zine Fest on Saturday, 11/1 from 11 a.m. to 5 p.m. and check out all the wonderful zine makers and self publishers in our book-obsessed hometown. At Temple University's  Mitten Hall at 1913 N. Broad Street, Philadelphia PA

The Typography of Independence

Join the University of Pennsylvania’s Common Press for The Typography of Independence, a year-long program celebrating Revolutionary era papermaking and printing techniques that made the first edition of the Declaration of Independence. Through free, public hands-on workshops and live demonstrations, we invite the Penn community and all Philadelphians to explore the production of this locally-made document that announced the colonies' independence to the world.
