With over 50 lawsuits pending in the United States looking at how copyright law applies to artificial intelligence, the law in this space is being written right now. In this workshop, we will explore what is happening in these cases, consider how the law may develop, and speculate on what this all may mean for both the development of new AI technologies and for creative works in a future where artificial intelligence is widely incorporated into the tools that people use to produce and distribute their works.
