Are you interested in learning more about research computing or programming? Penn Libraries and the Graduate Student Center would like to offer intensive Data Carpentries workshops for Penn graduate and professional students March 12-13, 2026. You can visit the Data Carpentries website to learn more. Data Carpentry’s aim is to teach researchers basic concepts, skills, and tools for working with data so that they can get more done in less time, and with less pain. This workshop uses a tabular ecology dataset and teaches data cleaning, management, analysis and visualization. An ecology background is not required to participate!

Space is limited to 40 participants and we anticipate high demand! Please apply for your spot by Sunday, March 1. If you have any questions, please reach out to libraryrdds@pobox.upenn.edu.
