This workshop will provide a basic overview of the history and applications of the Digital Humanities, particularly as it relates to English language and literature. While we will survey the evolution of the discipline and examine current scholarship, we will primarily discuss ways of implementing DH practices and ideas into participants’ work. In this way, the workshop will function more as a conversation, and anyone attending can feel free to bring project ideas and questions for research planning and collaboration. Presented by Becky Friedman, Penn Libraries intern and PhD candidate at the University of Massachusetts.
