Please join us for tea and conversation with Dr. Jorge Tellez, Assistant Professor for Romance Languages. Dr. Tellez will talk with us about his research:  “Why Do Picaresque Narratives Matter: Pícaros and Intellectuals in Mexico.” Dr. Tellez’s interdisciplinary approach draws from anthropology, sociology, literary theory and intellectual history. For this particular project, which will result in his second book, Tellez analyzes the development of the Mexican literary field through picaresque narratives from sixteenth to the twenty-first century.

Research teas are an opportunity for informal conversation around ongoing research at Penn. We look forward to having you join the conversation!
