3D printing offers exciting new opportunities to design and create all kinds of useful, fun, and decorative items. Join us at the Education Commons as we demonstrate how to make your prints both look and perform better. We will discuss the meanings of settings such as infill, layer height, and shells, and why each one is so important. Actual 3D printed parts will be passed out to better showcase how much these settings affect the prints. Attendees are encouraged to use websites like Thingiverse.com and MyMiniFactory.com to find a model that they would like to bring in and further develop. If you have made your own model, bring it!

This workshop is part of the PennImmersive initiative of Penn Libraries and Penn's Year of Innovation.
