Did you know that the University of Pennsylvania has a plethora of powerful, no-cost resources that can allow you to epublish your book, journal or other academic work? In this session, we will discuss how a team from Children's Hospital of Philadelphia and the Institute for Translational Medicine and Therapeutics at the Perelman School of Medicine were able to do just that and put together a 550 page book on the topic of Academic Entrepreneurship for Medical and Health Scientists, a first-of-its-kind textbook that seeks to accelerate the development and translation of new scientific discoveries into the world of patient care

Dr. Gooneratne is Associate Professor of Medicine at the Hospital of the University of Pennsylvania. His research expertise crosses a range of specialties and methods including: aging, sleep, complementary/alternative medicine, melatonin, patient-oriented research, translational research, categorical data, clinical trials, multivariate analysis, time series.
