This training session presents methods of searching for organometallics and coordination compounds using text-based and structure-based searches in the most common chemical information tools.  We will look at methods of performing structure searches for complete complexes in SciFinder, Reaxys, and the Cambridge Structural Database; methods of searching for complexes using ligands only in SciFinder and Reaxys; and text-based searches for complexes in Reaxys.  This session is intended for chemical science researchers who are familiar with basic structure-based search techniques.
