Penn Libraries Presents is happy to host the Community Engagement Staff presenting on their work and future plans:

The Penn Libraries Community Engagement Team invites you to a virtual presentation on our work over the summer! Our efforts involve seeking out ways that Penn Libraries can collaborate with the local community to broaden avenues for engaging around literacy and addressing issues of literacy access. In addition to considering our ongoing work in public school libraries, we will also touch upon findings and conversations we had with individuals in the field around adult literacy, prison literacy, health literacy, creating a culturally responsive children’s book database (The Mirrors Collection), advocating for librarians, among several others projects we are thinking through. Not only do we want to share our ideas with you, we also want to get your feedback in order to think critically and sustainably about our efforts.

Led by Gina Pambianchi, Community Engagement Librarian, the Penn Libraries Community Engagement Team is a group of students and librarians collaborating to ask questions about literacy engagement and library access in their community in order to think through sustainable solutions.
