This session, one of the Coffee Breaks with the Chemistry Library, provides an overview of different tools available at Penn for locating and obtaining crystal structure information. We will address two different workflows: finding papers that reference or describe crystal structures and locating, downloading, and manipulating actual crystal structure files (.cif) of organics, organometallics, inorganics, or proteins. Bring your favorite beverage and enjoy!
No previous experience is necessary for this seminar. Individuals who are interested in a more detailed look at organic and organometallic crystal structure searching are encouraged to attend the Cambridge Structural Database: Basics seminar.
