These days, it is easy to input a text search into just about any system and get relevant results with very little effort, but simple searches don’t always retrieve all the relevant information that is available.  In this session, part of the Coffee Break with the Chemistry Library series, we will advance beyond the basics and look at expert text search techniques in some of the most popular systems that chemists use to find information.  We will examine SciFinder and SciFinderⁿ, Scopus, Web of Science, PubMed, and the Ovid Medline interface, as well as other search systems that participants may use regularly.  Our goal is to help you retrieve more good science and fewer irrelevant results.
