Getting started with data can be intimidating, but it doesn’t have to be! In this first beginner-friendly workshop, we will work through practical, hands-on approaches to conceptualizing and building a dataset, starting with “small data” that we gather from our own lives. This workshop is suitable for folks who are new to working with data, as well as those who may be interested in thinking about affective or analog data from a critical perspective.

This workshop is part of the (Open) Data Jam hosted by the Libraries' Research Data and Digital Scholarship unit. Participants will be emailed a Zoom link the day before the workshop.
