Where do we gather data? Who gathers it, and how? What is its subject matter? What potential benefits and harms can come from sharing it, and what questions should we ask ourselves before deciding to do so? What are some of the ethical challenges researchers face when they choose to work with data? We'll delve into these questions and more in this interactive session about data ethics and data privacy.

This workshop is part of the (Open) Data Jam hosted by the Libraries' Research Data and Digital Scholarship unit. Participants will be emailed a Zoom link the day before the workshop.
