This is the first in a two-session training on personal data management for chemists.  The overall focus of the training is on developing good lab notebook and data organization and management strategies so that your future self and future group members will be able to understand your work and locate your files.  During this session, we will discuss data management planning and best practices for note taking, with a focus on paper notebooks.  Please bring a copy of one of your paper lab notebooks, if you use them, or a device on which you can access your electronic lab notebook.  This will be a highly interactive session, during which we hope to have a lively discussion about best practices in note taking.
