This session will help the Penn research community assess the potential benefits and risks of collecting, analyzing, and sharing research data, including concerns about overburdening certain populations, potential reidentification, and possible intellectual property concerns.  It will introduce the audience to the basics of ethical data practice, then introduce some practical tools and highlight Penn resources available to help researchers make informed decisions about how, when, and why to share.
