Van Pelt Collaborative Classroom: The Collaborative Classroom is an active learning space located in the Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center, Room 113.
Purpose: This room is designed for collaborative learning and active learning, as part of course instruction or individual sessions.
Physical set-up: 5 round tables for learners, and one instructor station, each with a projection screen and whiteboard writing space. The room seats 30.
Technology: Each table allows for a laptop or notebook to be connected to the projector, using either HDMI or VGA connection. There are six MacBooks in the room, one at each table (including the instructor's table); when opting to use their own Mac devices, users bring their own adapter (dongle). The tech support for this room is via 24/7 virtual connection to a technician from the company that installed the room's technology.
