Room 113: Collaborative Classroom

Description

Welcome to the Collaborative Classroom (Room 113) is an active learning space in the Van Pelt-Dietrich Library Center, fostering an inclusive and dynamic learning environment that empowers students to actively participate, learn from each other, and develop the skills they need to succeed academically and personally.

Physical set-up

5 round tables for learners, and one instructor station, each with a projection screen and whiteboard writing space. The room capacity is 30.

Technology

The room features six MacBooks strategically positioned, one at each table (including the instructor's workstation). Each table allows for a laptop or notebook to be connected to the projector, using either HDMI or VGA connection. For individuals preferring to utilize their personal Mac devices, they are encouraged to bring along their own adapters to ensure compatibility and uninterrupted functionality.

Notice: The Collaborative classroom currently incorporates the OWL camera to support virtual learning environments. Here is the OWL user manual.

Technical support is provided by the Libraries' Computing Services during regular business hours, Monday through Friday, from 8:30 AM to 5 PM. After 5 PM on weekdays and throughout weekends, support is accessible through a virtual connection with the company accountable for installing the room's technology.
